Luke 10:1-12, 17-20 Your peace will rest upon him.’
At that time: The Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go. And he said to them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest. Go your way; behold, I am sending you out as lambs in the midst of wolves. Carry no money bag, no knapsack, no sandals, and greet no one on the road. Whatever house you enter, first say, “Peace be to this house!” And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest upon him. But if not, it will return to you. And remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the labourer deserves his wages. Do not go from house to house. Whenever you enter a town and they receive you, eat what is set before you. Heal the sick in it and say to them, “The kingdom of God has come near to you.” But whenever you enter a town and they do not receive you, go into its streets and say, “Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near.” I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town.’
The seventy-two returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!’ And he said to them, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.’
Today God gives us the reading from the Gospel according to Luke. This chapter is very well known because it's read many times a year.
Jesus sends 72 people, to proclaim the Good News. This is the analogy concerns to the Old Testament, when 70 people prophesy in the Camp of God.
Jesus gives a mission for his disciples, go forth and proclaim about the Kingdom of God, which is coming in. The Author emphasizes, those people have come back full of joy.
The mission, which is given by Jesus, it concerns us. We are the missionaries of Christ's matter. Since we have been baptised, God called us to witness of him. This truth is not reserve for chosen ones, because the dignity of the Sacred Baptism contains the three missions, the one of them is to be a prophet, who is sent by God to proclaim the Good News (the dignity of the common priesthood, and the value of the kingship- the two last).
The liturgy, explicit says: Go and announce the Gospel of the Lord.
These words of the end of Mass remind us about our job. Mass is the continuation of Christian mission, we have been filled by the Body and Christ, we heard the words of God. Now, it’s time to go, strengthened of the power from above, and bear witness about Jesus Christ.
Anything is more powerful than the God’s word, as St. Paul says, it is the double-edged sword, infiltrating human soul. The word needs the testimony and the experience of those, who follow Christ continently every single day. The history knows some cases, that unbelievers had become the people recognizing the Lord Jesus Christ and follow him. In the majority those people found the Christ trough the testimony, not of the scholar persons, but trough the faith of a simple and humble Christians.
Today's Gospel and Jesus say something more, rejoice, because your name are written in heaven, this is the promise of our eternal reward. Secondly, Christ ensures us, you are not alone, and my grace and power will accompany you, any time.
The power, to proclaim the Gospel come from God, it is not mine, Christ said, I am with you till the end of the world, and my Spirit, the Comforter assists you to be the exemplary disciple of me.
At Mass, we hear the words: Go and announce the Gospel of the Lord. So, doing our baptismal job, let us go, and proclaim the message and love of God, wherever we are. Amen.

Jezus wyznaczył jeszcze innych siedemdziesięciu dwóch uczniów i wysłał ich po dwóch przed sobą do każdego miasta i miejscowości, dokąd sam przyjść zamierzał. Powiedział też do nich: ”Żniwo wprawdzie wielkie, ale robotników mało; proście więc Pana żniwa, żeby wyprawił robotników na swoje żniwo. Idźcie, oto was posyłam jak owce między wilki. Nie noście z sobą trzosa ani torby, ani sandałów; i nikogo w drodze nie pozdrawiajcie. Gdy do jakiego domu wejdziecie, najpierw mówcie: "Pokój temu domowi". Jeśli tam mieszka człowiek godny pokoju, wasz pokój spocznie na nim; jeśli nie, powróci do was. W tym samym domu zostańcie, jedząc i pijąc, co mają; bo zasługuje robotnik na swą zapłatę. Nie przechodźcie z domu do domu. Jeśli do jakiego miasta wejdziecie i przyjmą was, jedzcie, co Wam podadzą; uzdrawiajcie chorych, którzy tam są, i mówcie im: "Przybliżyło się do was królestwo Boże". Lecz jeśli do jakiego miasta wejdziecie, a nie przyjmą was, wyjdźcie na jego ulice i powiedzcie: "Nawet proch, który z waszego miasta przylgnął nam do nóg, strząsamy wam. Wszakże to wiedzcie, że bliskie jest królestwo Boże". Powiadam wam: Sodomie lżej będzie w ów dzień niż temu miastu”. Wróciło siedemdziesięciu dwóch z radością mówiąc: ”Panie, przez wzgląd na Twoje imię nawet złe duchy nam się poddają”. Wtedy rzekł do nich: ”Widziałem szatana spadającego z nieba jak błyskawica. Oto dałem wam władzę stąpania po wężach i skorpionach, i po całej potędze przeciwnika, a nic wam nie zaszkodzi. Jednak nie z tego się cieszcie, że duchy się wam poddają, lecz cieszcie się, że wasze imiona zapisane są w niebie”.
Dziś Bóg daje nam czytanie z Ewangelii według św. Łukasza. Ten rozdział jest bardzo znany, ponieważ czytany jest wiele razy w roku.
Jezus posyła 72 osoby, aby głosili Dobrą Nowinę. To nawiązanie do Starego Testamentu, gdy 70 osób prorokowało w obozie Boga.
Jezus daje swoim uczniom misję: idźcie i głoście o nadchodzącym Królestwie Bożym. Autor podkreśla, że ci ludzie wrócili pełni radości.
Misja, którą daje Jezus, dotyczy również nas. Jesteśmy misjonarzami sprawy Chrystusa. Od chwili chrztu Bóg powołał nas, by być Jego świadkami. Ta misja nie jest zarezerwowana dla wybranych, ponieważ godność Świętego Chrztu zawiera trzy tożsamości, z których jedną jest być prorokiem, posłanym przez Boga, by głosić Dobrą Nowinę (dwie pozostałe to godność powszechnego kapłaństwa i wartość królewskiej godności).
Liturgia wyraźnie mówi: Idźcie i głoście Ewangelię Pańską.
Te słowa na zakończenie Mszy przypominają nam o naszym zadaniu. Msza jest kontynuacją chrześcijańskiej misji – zostaliśmy napełnieni Ciałem i Krwią Chrystusa, usłyszeliśmy słowa Boga. Teraz czas iść, umocnieni mocą z wysoka i dawać świadectwo o Jezusie Chrystusie.
Nic nie jest potężniejsze niż Słowo Boże — jak mówi św. Paweł, jest ono mieczem obosiecznym, przenikającym duszę ludzką. Słowo potrzebuje świadectwa i doświadczenia tych, którzy codziennie wytrwale podążają za Chrystusem. Historia zna przypadki, gdy niewierzący stawali się ludźmi rozpoznającymi Pana Jezusa Chrystusa i idącymi za Nim. W większości przypadków odnajdywali Chrystusa dzięki świadectwu nie uczonych ludzi, lecz prostej i pokornej wiary chrześcijan.
Dzisiejsza Ewangelia i Jezus mówią nam jeszcze coś więcej: radujcie się, bo wasze imiona są zapisane w niebie — to obietnica naszej wiecznej nagrody. Po drugie, Chrystus zapewnia nas: nie jesteście sami, moja łaska i moc będą wam zawsze towarzyszyć.
Moc do głoszenia Ewangelii pochodzi od Boga, nie od nas. Chrystus mówi: Ja jestem z wami aż do skończenia świata, a mój Duch, Pocieszyciel, pomaga wam być dobrymi uczniami.
Podczas Mszy słyszymy słowa: Idźcie i głoście Ewangelię Pańską. Spełniając naszą chrzcielną misję, idźmy i głośmy orędzie oraz miłość Boga, gdziekolwiek jesteśmy. Amen
