6th Sunday of Easter. Year A. J 14, 23-29. 2025.
Today we celebrate the 6th Sunday of Easter. We are also getting closer to the Feast of Pentecost, when we remember the Holy Spirit coming down on the Apostles and the Church.
Jesus talks about the Holy Spirit, a gift from His Father to all believers and the Church community:
"I have said these things to you while I am still with you; but the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all I have said to you."
Jesus says the Holy Spirit will come to remind us of His teachings. The Holy Spirit is called the Giver of Life. It renews our faith and keeps our relationship with Christ strong. Because of the Holy Spirit, the Church still exists, even after many centuries.
When Jesus says He will give us a gift from heaven, He means faith and a personal relationship with Him. Faith is not just believing in God; it is our relationship with Christ.
The Holy Spirit strengthens our Christianity and helps us understand Jesus' teachings.
Unfortunately, some people replace faith with tradition and custom. They may receive sacraments because it's tradition, not because of faith. They treat church services as a chance to meet family and friends, rather than a time for worship.
For some, celebrations become more important than the sacraments and faith.
We need to open our hearts to the Holy Spirit and focus on faith in God and a real relationship with Him. Culture and tradition change, but true faith lasts forever.
Holy Spirit, open our hearts and fill us with living faith and a real relationship with God. Amen.
VI Niedziela Wielkanocna. Rok A. J 14, 23-29. 2025.
Dziś obchodzimy 6. Niedzielę Wielkanocną. Zbliżamy się również do Święta Zesłania Ducha Świętego, kiedy wspominamy przyjście Ducha Świętego na Apostołów i wspólnotę kościoła.
Jezus mówi o Duchu Świętym, darze od Jego Ojca dla wszystkich wierzących i wspólnoty kościoła:
"Powiedziałem wam to, gdy byłem jeszcze z wami; ale Pocieszyciel, Duch Święty, którego Ojciec pośle w moim imieniu, nauczy was wszystkiego i przypomni wam wszystko, co wam powiedziałem."
Jezus mówi, że Duch Święty przyjdzie, aby przypomnieć nam Jego nauki. Duch Święty jest nazywany Dawcą Życia. Odnawia naszą wiarę i utrzymuje silną naszą relację z Chrystusem. Dzięki Duchowi Świętemu kościół istnieje, nawet po wielu wiekach.
Kiedy Jezus mówi, że da nam dar z nieba, ma na myśli wiarę i osobistą relację z Nim. Wiara to nie tylko wierzenie w Boga; to nasza relacja z Chrystusem.
Duch Święty wzmacnia nasze chrześcijaństwo i pomaga nam zrozumieć nauki Jezusa.
Niestety, niektórzy zastępują wiarę tradycją i zwyczajem. Mogą przyjmować sakramenty z powodu tradycji, a nie wiary. Traktują nabożeństwa kościelne jako okazję do spotkania rodziny i przyjaciół, a nie czas na modlitwę.
Dla niektórych świętowania stają się ważniejsze niż sakramenty i wiara.
Musimy otworzyć nasze serca na Ducha Świętego i skupić się na wierze w Boga oraz prawdziwej relacji z Nim. Kultura i tradycja zmieniają się, ale prawdziwa wiara trwa na zawsze.
Duchu Święty, otwórz nasze serca i napełnij nas żywą wiarą oraz prawdziwą relacją z Bogiem. Amen.
